First time for everything…

I’ll admit it; I am addicted to card making! Papers, embellishments, sequins, stamps… what more could a girl want? I’ve been making a lot of cards recently but still haven’t had the guts to share them so I thought I would jump straight in with a challenge.

Make the Day Special is my favourite shop. They have an amazing range of stamps and dies from Across the Pond and the service is incredible. Their challenge this month was a super simple sketch:

MTDS September Challenge

…and this is what I did with it:

 Sending Hugs card

Big apologies for the photo quality! I am camera-less (oh, the joys of being on a student budget) so I had to resort to my iPad.

For this card I used a kraft base and a patterned paper from the Papermania Happy Days Collection and stitched along the join. I then stamped Spring Blooms from WPlus9 onto a piece of cream card stock, found a placement I was happy with and die cut a heart shape. Finally, I stamped the greeting from Avery Elle on to a piece of vellum and embossed it.

I’m only at the beginning of all this card making business, so I’m still not 100% confident with my cards. Everyone seems so friendly though that I thought I’d just go for it and post something!

  2. Thank you for following my blog and for your lovely comment! Super cute card! I love the silver embossed sentiment and how you stamped images and die cut a heart to make it look like patterned paper. 🙂
